Writer’s Strike Finally Over by idontknowmuch

So, it was announced last night that the writer’s strike is officially over. Union members will get back to work soon, according to the Los Angeles Times:

On Feb. 25, writers are expected to ratify a new three-year contract that ensures them a stake in the revenue generated when their movies, television shows and other creative works are distributed on the Internet. Whether the benefits from the new contract will be enough to offset the income writers and others lost because of the strike is a matter of debate.

30 Rock

It was hard for me to feel too bad for the writers, considering that these guys get paid a ridiculous amount of money to do a job which I would kill my mother to do. However, if I had to choose a side, it would be with the writers because from what I understand, Hollywood producers bathe in the blood of children and eat the entrails of puppies every night.

In all seriousness, I’m very happy that most of the shows I watch will be back soon and I won’t have to waste too much more time like….talking to my family or, like, reading and shit. But part of me is disappointed that the strike didn’t last REALLY LONG. It would of been funny to see nothing but reality shows and reruns of old movies on the networks for the next three years.

And by “funny”, I mean “suicide-inducing.”
